2006-2007 Troupe Requirements
Class/Choreography Requirements
Each member of Walker's Dance Troupe must attend the minimum number of weekly classes and choreography sessions for his/her assigned company throughout the dance calendar year.
Sr. Company:
2 Ballet
1 Pointe
1 Jazz
1 Workshop
1 Style of Choice
4 Choreography Sessions (includes choreography for 2 production and 2 group dances)
Optional: Sr. Company members may elect to do up to 3 solos, 2 Duos/Trios, and/or Troupe Co. Tap. Additional choreography and rehearsal fees apply.
Jr. Company:
2 Ballet
1 Jazz
1 Tap
3 Choreography Sessions (includes choreography for 1 production and 2 group dances)
Optional: Jr. Company members may elect to do 1 Duos/Trio. Solos at this level are by invitation only. Additional choreography and rehearsal fees apply.
Jr. Company (Recreational Division):
1 Ballet
1 Technique / Choreography (includes choreography for 1 competition group dance)
or
1 Ballet
1 Style (T.B.D.)
2 Technique / Choreography (includes choreography for 2 competition group dance)
Additional Requirements
To ensure that the appropriate level of training is maintained throughout the year, all Dance Troupe members are also required to participate in the following:
- June and July workshops
- Scheduled competition rehearsals through Nationals
- Walker's Summer Dance Intensive
